Collect client documents securely online
Updated
Chasing clients for statements, IDs and forms by email leaves files scattered across inboxes. With KamiSign you send one secure form link. Your client fills in their details and attaches their files, and everything arrives in one private inbox in your workspace. Clients never need an account.
How secure document collection works
- Build the form. Choose the questions and file requests you need, such as name, email, phone, address and custom fields.
- Send the link. Share it by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- Client submits. They answer the questions and attach their files from any device, with no sign-up.
- Review in one place. Open each submission in a side panel, zoom in, print or download it, or print everything at once.
- Details go to Contacts. Names and contact details are saved to the client's contact, so you don't retype them.
How the encryption works
Submissions are encrypted in the client's browser before they are sent. The form link itself carries no secret, so forwarding it does not expose earlier submissions. Only members of your workspace who have unlocked it with their personal key can read what clients send, and each member has their own key, so one person's code does not open everything on its own.
Ask only for what you need. Collecting fewer documents is the simplest way to reduce risk.
Who uses it
- Accountants and bookkeepers collecting year-end statements and onboarding details
- Freelancers gathering client briefs, ID or billing details before a project
- Small firms that want one inbox instead of attachments in several mailboxes
From collection to signature
Once the details are in, send the engagement letter or contract for signature in the same workspace. See how to e-sign engagement letters.
Frequently asked questions
Do my clients need an account?
No. They open the link, fill in the form and submit.
Who can read what my clients submit?
Only members of your workspace who have unlocked it with their personal key. The link itself does not contain a secret.
Where do client details end up?
They are saved to the matching contact in your Contacts, so you can reuse them when you send documents.
Can I send a form and then a document to sign?
Yes. Collect details first, then send the document for signature from the same workspace.
